Customer Reviews: For the price there isn't a better synthetic football January 18, 2007 J. Schroeder (New Orleans, LA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
At first it seems too tacky, but it wears in nicely and feels very leathery. Its structure is completely true to a real leather ball and in some ways is superior as this ball will last longer in the rain. It throws, kicks, and catches like a real football. I couldn't keep it out of my hands when i first bought it. Its an impressively designed synthetic football.
Buy this ball November 15, 2007 Belinda E. Potts This ball is well worth the 30 dollars or so you pay for it. Since it's composite, not only does it last forever, its also sticky and has great grip. This is the ultimate backyard football.
Great for the Price October 29, 2008 Dode (CoMo) This is a good product at a great price. It's great for recreational use while being similar to the high priced models. I'm very happy with the product.
Fantastic Ball! Grippy in all conditions, easy to catch and throw, lasts a long time January 5, 2010 D. Cheng (California, USA) This is a fantastic ball. I've tried many Target/Walmart/Costco footballs, a few Sports Authority balls, and even the expensive genuine leather one. This one is my favorite.
The main thing about this ball is the grip. It's very tacky. But what sets this "tackiness" apart is that 1) it lasts a long time (most balls lose that tackiness after a few games) and 2) the grip is still there even when moist (rain, dew, or sweaty QB hands).
One might say "NCAA college ball is too big, I like the smaller NFL balls better." I have small hands, and in the past have preferred NFL balls, but with this one, you don't even notice. It throws and catches extremely well.
Highly recommended.
Could Be Better.... August 1, 2008 John P. Carsley (Lititz, PA USA) This "Composite Leather" GST football disappoints to a great extent. Cosmetically, it has a Bar Code carved into the ball fabric, very cheap looking. The stripes on painted on, versus the GST leather version, which are sewn in. "GST" stands for grip stripe technology, without the sewn in stripes, GST doesn't stand for anything. This is not a superior product as other reviewers have implied.
