Customer Reviews:
5 out of 5 stars Quality knee pads for active sports   August 27, 2010
R. Lamb (NYC, NY)
The padding is soft, unlike the hard kneepads used for rollerblading, but not bulky like many other kneepads that are used for indoor volleyball. For this reason I would recommend these pads for people who participate in active sports, like rugby, soccer, football, or other sports involving lots of running. I'm not 100% sure that these meet the strict standards for rugby gear in terms of thickness, but i suppose its thin enough that I didn't get hassled at all.

I sprained my knee after hitting the artificial turf hard during a rugby game and decided it was time to invest in some good knee pads. It was imperative at that point since any knee contact was considerably painful after the injury. In spite of doctor's orders (although I wouldn't recommend this) I continued playing rugby with these on my knees. It significantly helped dampen the impact my knees received when being tackled or just generally kneeling. I won't play anymore without them.
